Reine Elisabeth II Flowers Market
Île de la Cité, Place Louis Lépine, 75004 Paris
Every day except Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Whether you’re a plant lover or simply looking for an original stroll, don’t miss this delightful market nestled on the Ile de la Cité, right in the heart of historic Paris.
Created in the early 19th century, this emblematic site remains a favorite stopover for Parisians and visitors alike. Under charming wrought-iron pavilions topped by glass roofs that let in natural light, you’ll discover a magnificent collection of plants, shrubs, seasonal flowers and exotic species, which brighten up the alleys with their colors and fragrances all year round. Two listed Wallace fountains add to the charm of the walk.
Since 2014, the market has been known as the “Queen Elizabeth II Market”, in tribute to the British sovereign, who came to Paris to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Very attached to France and its capital, she left here a lovely nod to Franco-British friendship.
